Apparently Sam Raimi is going to direct. Hot.

Prediction: the movie has and death knight, and he's totally OP.
Also, how's that game doing nowadays? I haven't kept up with it for a long while, save for the very occasional foray into the forums... because they're funny. _________________ When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.

I really have no idea. I hear it's doing fine. _________________ ' What I'm thinking in my head is, 'Well, the truth is, Brian, we can't solve global warming because I f---ing changed light bulbs in my house. It's because of something collective'. |

Easier to play. Easier to beat. Achievements mean an even more vicious reward schedule. |

Achievements are so stupid though. I know they're effective, but I can't back that. Everquest had "Alternate Advancement" points that were like mini-talent points with tiered trees you could spend them in. You would gain these points the same way you did experience, and they took like 30-60 minutes to gain. When I quit good people had hundreds, by now you need thousands to be elite. I prefer a system of permanent reward like that, where you will just always be better than people because you played more.
Achievements give me nothing. |

That doesn't make you billions of dollars.
Which, apparently, only buys about a dozen art assets a month. |

Except it did, since EQ was incredibly successful for its time. |

Yes, but it's the whole thing about being able to draw in/retain people who wouldn't play EQ that makes WoW lots of money. |

I remember when those came out, and I went around grouped with 5 other wizards one-shotting Kunark dragons with manaburn.

It's a different era. I think a lot less people were using the internet for things like gaming when EQ came out. |

I'm patching this game right now... for some reason I feel compelled to finish my hunter's Northrend questing. I'll probably unsubscribe before I get to the point of having to grind for gear and influence and bullshit like that. _________________ ' What I'm thinking in my head is, 'Well, the truth is, Brian, we can't solve global warming because I f---ing changed light bulbs in my house. I haven't set foot in Northrend, and I just don't see it ever happening. _________________ When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.

Look, I'm killing elementals for their shards right now. This is the kind of gameplay you can't get anywhere else in WoW. _________________ ' What I'm thinking in my head is, 'Well, the truth is, Brian, we can't solve global warming because I f---ing changed light bulbs in my house. To be fair, there actually are pretty good quests. Have you done the Thrym line in Zul'Drak? Or the Drakkensryd in Storm Peaks? Because they're pretty cool. |

I'm still in Dragonblight, I quit last shortly after seeing Wrathgate, which was pretty cool. Still have about half of the zone to finish.
So.... do hunters not use quivers anymore? What the hell is this nonsense? _________________ ' What I'm thinking in my head is, 'Well, the truth is, Brian, we can't solve global warming because I f---ing changed light bulbs in my house. It's because of something collective'. |
