It's the Party Day, Picture Day, Special Day guy. Probably one of the best early episodes. Do I get to cash in the bonus points or how does this work? |
The assignment was to actually find the scene, not to simply describe it. |

Also, some girl just went to the hospital and needed a blood transfusion. The doctors ask her parents what her blood type is, they don't know, but they both say their own type is A. The doctors ordered type A blood for the girl.
At that point I questioned whether they would actually ask parents rather than just type her blood themselves since she could die if it was wrong.
Later in the episode the police talk to the doctor again and he says that after asking parents their blood type, they (as a policy) then pull the mother aside to make sure that the father is the father. He then said that despite all of this, they always type the blood themselves to "protect their asses from malpractice."
There is NO FREAKING WAY they would EVER ask some mother if the father is the real father if they were already typing the blood on their own, which would be ten thousand times more accurate than asking. This whole episode is a sham.
Also the name of the guy who is the crazy serial kidnapper/rapist freak from this episode is the same name as the renowned surgeon from ER who had shady study results that Dr. Peter Benton had to turn in, our good friend Karl Vusalic. |

They installed some display screen system with 5 flatscreen panels in the middle of the SVU office. They display information about the case and usually just cycle through images every few seconds.
And, of course, every single episode crazed parents walk in to see some horrifying scene on the screens. You'd think they'd figure that out and fix the problem. |
