I've been giving this Hulu thing a try lately. I've gotten through the first season of Dead Like Me and that show is excellent. There's even a sex scene comparable to the one that's supposed to exist in the Highlander but we never found. |

The scene was definitely there, I think you just blacked out from the pain of sitting through all the films.
Possibly it's in the other cut of the second film that we didn't watch. |

Look, if you were a Highlander, you'd shout that out at some point I bet. You do live for a long time, possibly forever. |

Interestingly, both of these facts are also true of grim reapers. |

I liked Dead Like Me; it's a good show. I don't remember a supposed Highlander-esque sex scene in it though. Hmm.
Also, speaking of shows about death: Six Feet Under is awesomely good. |

Dead Like Me, maybe... Six Feet Under... I dunno.. I don't think it's any more girly than Weeds. I think it could really be for anyone. And I still think it's one of the best human-condition-examining dramas ever. Maybe it's been build up in my mind a bit though. Also, I have reservations about ever watching it again because of the intense emotional impact. That mostly applies to the last season, though. And perhaps it has to do with my being ruled by my emotions.
This:
Everyone ever should watch it. |

Look, Mason's having sex with some goth girl and he yells out "I am a reaper!!!" Classic. |

Having never seen Six Feet Under I can't say, but I seriously doubt that Weeds could be described as a girl show. It's more of a pot-head show, for the first season, and then it becomes...I don't even know what. I do know that it's fantastic. Have you watched it? I thought Hank was the only one. |

Hmm. That does sound familiar.. Maybe I should re-watch it.

I haven't actually seen Weeds... It is on my list of shows to watch, though. I've just seen the TV version of trailers for it, ads for it, etc. And yeah... from what I've seen, it doesn't seem particularly like a girl show; that's what I was getting at. SFU's also a quirky premium cable drama/dramedy that centers around a family, so the comparison seemed reasonable. Anyway, SFU is really, really, really good is all I'm saying. And not just for girls. (I don't think.) |

But it's about feelings and family. It's probably more like Big Love than it is like, for example, the Sopranos. All of those shows are certainly well liked by men and women alike but if you were to characterize them you would have to call Sopranos a guy show and the other two girl shows. |

Well, on that basis, then maybe. I guess SFU does involve feelings and how people feel about their feelings and all. But it's no Sex and the City. Seriously, everyone should watch Six Feet Under at some point. |
