People at Harvard tend to go to this place:
http://www.zooborns.com/
for their recently born zoo animal pictures.
How many tabs do you leave open and for how long? Seems odd...this is the second time at least that you've referenced such aberrant behavior. |

Many hours have been spent at the circulation desk going through that website. I figured you might like it.
Did you see the penguin and read its story? |

awwwww. there is a lot of cuteness on that site. some good photos too.
yeah... I've been known to have something like 30 tabs open at once. apparently that's abnormal? Whenever there's something noteworthy or that I might want to reference later but not necessarily bookmark, I just leave it in an open tab. Tabs usually stay around until I need to reboot my computer (or firefox). |

That sounds pretty dangerous, since Firefox is known to crash. Why not just have a bookmarks folder specifically for your little rambling journeys around the internet, if that's your sort of thing? Much safer.
Isn't the fact that you can't easily display 30 tabs a little problematic? |

Firefox has been relatively stable lately... not that many memory leaks (or whatever it is when firefox is eating much of my RAM), at least. it's not usually that big a problem.
It can display the tabs... there's some kind of scroll button in the upper right. |

Yeah it's some kind of dropdown menu which would work in exactly the same fashion as a bookmark. |

It's true.. but then nothing would force me to look at them in a somewhat timely fashion.

Apparently they're all ready getting rid of tabs. And apparently people do have 20+ tabs open. I guess I'm just a traditionalist and haven't caught up with your fancy browsing. |
Interesting. Though, I'm not sure that I know what they're talking about here, but I think I disagree: "And tabs don't work well if you use them with heterogeneous information." If they're referencing that grouping thing they talk about later... I mean, if I have similar things that I need to go back and forth between, I just keep the tabs nearby. Or have multiple windows and multiple tabs... |

I believe this is exactly what they are saying should be improved from an interface standpoint. It should flow more smoothly than multiple windows of multiple tabs. |
