Are you ready for this BSG finale?
I won't be watching it until tomorrow when I can download it... but I'm nervous.
On the one hand, there is opportunity for greatness with the mystery of Starbuck as well as seeing how it all ends (and happens again), but on the other hand... suicide mission for little girl? Seems a little silly.
We'll see. _________________ When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.

Apparently she's important. But I don't know if she's that important.
And yeah, I'm on the road today and tomorrow. Guess I might catch it in the hotel tonight, but otherwise I'll have to wait until Saturday evening. |

So, I just watched this beast (it was a 2 hour episode).
It was a tad preachy at times, and kinda wtf at the end... but damn, that was some intense shit.
Also... I think they're all face dancers. _________________ When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.

I realized that I never responded.
I also realized that I really like [this series] - [the last half hour]
What the hell happened? The whole moral of the (beautiful, intense, mysterious, tantalizing) story is:
Don't create robots.
Don't get too industrial.
Uhhgh.
And who do you think is a face dancer? |

Yes.
I don't know what you people (as in, people who didn't like the ending) want. |

Yeah. Neither did I. And neither did the writers.
They had this crazy pseudo-religious pseudo-connected-to-present-day future/past space universe and they had no idea what to do with it. So they came up with an ending. At the last minute. Involving cheesy Japanese robots.
At least that's what it felt like to me. |

Also, Ron Moore? What a complete hack.
Ron Moore wrote: | The image of the bird was just than — an image. I had no idea what it meant or symbolized, but just saw this picture of a man (didn't even know it was Lee) trying to chase a bird out of his house with a broom. We put it up on the board and then folded it into the story of Lee without trying to define exactly what it meant. I still don't know exactly what it meant. I don't want to. |
This isn't a fucking still-life or a surrealist art-school short. It's supposed to be a cohesive drama... How many times did they replay that scene in the last two episodes? And it didn't even mean anything!

But I have to say, watching the miniseries is pretty funny/entertaining after all I know about the future series... |
