So my swim test was pretty ridiculous.
I used to use pomade in my hair to make it wave (before discovering that my hair was straight enough for it to wave naturally), and I put some on the morning before the swim test. Hop in the shower, the water washes the pomade out of my hair and into my eyes, so when I get to the pool area, my eyes are stinking, and I can't see shit.
I was on my high school's swim team for a minute, and I swam the 100m Freestyle, which is the distance you have to cover for the swim test. So I'm like, "Hey, I'm the shit" so I jumped in the fast lane and took off. (At this point, I hadn't stepped in a swimming pool for almost a year)
First lap? Killing it.
Second lap? Still killing it.
Third lap? Killing is some more, though my body's telling me to chill out.
Fourth lap? My body basically says "fuck it" and I end up doing some weak front crawl/backstroke shit to the finish. At one point, one of the overseers were like, "You're almost there!"
What a terrible showing.
I haven't sat foot in a pool or used pomade since.
I did kill that boat test though. Even after somebody hit me in the face with a volley ball. |

Quote: | Just think about it like this, if you are thinking about going swimming using your new Burqini every week, the cost is less than £7 per month, about £1.59 per week. How much do ladies normally spend on skimpier designs (burqini vs bikini!), with maybe 1 tenth of the fabric? Who gets better value for money. We got it covered! |
They do have a point there. |

What? |
The non-traditionally-exposed areas of that swimsuit are possibly the worst areas of any woman's body... |
Didn't you like the cut-out one-piece last time? This one?
Hank, you got hit in the face with a volleyball? Also, I made a similar mistake and used my legs far more than necessary (I dunno... I thought I needed to go quickly for no real reason) and ended up pretty tired by the end.
Relatedly, they may be cost effective, but don't those burkinis get warm and droopy? |

Yes, but your modesty is preserved. |
