You... realize that they pulled the photo from Facebook? That they took a screenshot of Facebook rather than asking for an original photo?
Why did they keep the border? If they're friends with whoever had that photo, why couldn't they ask that person for the original photo? |

You do not need to read the story. You merely need to look at the photo. Can you not see the Facebook icon at the top? The photo was yanked from Facebook somehow.

I just want to know how they got access to a dead man's Facebook profile.
I'm not concerned with the "quality" of the photo. I just want to know if this is how everyone is going to do their reporting from now on... |

It's not like Facebook deletes your profile when you die within 5 minutes. |

And if they refuse? Which they should? You think it's better for them to approach a grieving family for a photo they might not even have and might not want to give, a family that doesn't even want to talk? Not everyone hands out family photos to all their relatives.
The photo is there on Facebook, it's as good a photo as they're going to get, and there's no fuss.

You can only see photos of people in that way if you are friends with someone in the photo. You can see in the top right of the photo that the name of whoever is accessing his profile is blocked out. |
