So there are two Harvard Music department grad students talking in front of the circulation desk at my library. One of their computers exploded or whatever, and they lost the grades for all their students papers they had read and graded. Apparently the process for grading a paper, which she now has to do again, is to set a timer for 17 minutes and stop grading when it is done, no matter what. So it's true, your papers really aren't getting read. |

Wow. Way to fail at saving another copy of the grades on a different machine. Wouldn't she have written the students' grades on their papers, so she could just copy them back? Or had she already returned to papers? |

She had not returned them because she wasn't done grading them all when it happened. Maybe Harvard is too good to write grades on papers or backup data? |
