| Yeah, the cap sucks. And they're seriously going to have to change it... what with the rate of technology-change and all, 250 gigs is really getting to be nothing, even when a person is doing nothing illegal. |

| Turns out my new apartment can handle cable or internet, but not both. This could be the fault of Comcast in general, the Comcast guy who set up our service specifically, or the electricians who wired the building in the first place. I am developing a severe hatred for all three of them. Sigh. |

So I called Comcast costumer service several times to try to fix the problem. They came close to fixing the problem, but were not quite there. After I took matters into my own hands by going over to see how the neighbors have their cable/internet set up and then rearranging the two coaxial cable splitters he put in and rewiring everything, I managed to get the TV in the living room, the TV in one of my roommate's rooms, and the modem (along with wireless router) to all work simultaneously. Maybe I should apply to Comcast for a job on the basis of being better at hooking up their service than one of their supposedly highly trained servicemen. Then again, he was probably too busy telling me multiple times that I look like I'm 16 and encouraging me to travel to hook the service up properly.
So yeah, fuck Comcast.
Also, I suppose I owe an apology to the electricians. It would appear that they've been exonerated. |
