My girlfriend and I are going to have a handfasting on September 19th (or maybe 26th) this year.
For those of you not in the know, a handfasting is a sorta-wedding. There are two types: A joining for a year and a day,(which is pretty much a renewable relationship contract) and a lifelong handfasting, which typically goes hand in hand with a legal marriage. We're going with the first one, though we're planning on getting a marriage somewhere down the line if things continue going well.
Everyone's invited, though since it is not actually a wedding I don't really expect anyone to show up.

Tampa International Airport is closest, about forty minutes drive. We definitely aren't set on the date yet, may push it back a month or so... I will certainly post here when we have a date selected.
Like I said, no one should feel obligated to come. Not a wedding. We'll probably have an actual wedding a few years down the road. But, if people want to come, that'd be sweet.
Edit: And if folks do come, they can certainly stay at my house or one of my friends' houses for free, no need for hotels or any of that nonsense.
