Forums are a ghost town. In order to spark conversation, I present the following tidbit of information:
I'm receiving a first degree initiation this evening in Wicca. It's kinda like a cross between your first communion and going up a belt level in metaphysical karate.
So, ya know, "DING!"/"BWERUH!". Can't wait to go train my new spells.

Don't know. The basic ritual only involves symbolic death, but Katie modified it so who knows? We'll see tonight.
I do get tied up, blindfolded, and possibly whipped. The scourging happens in the standard initiation, at least, but I think we're skipping that because the person who would do the scourging is a young woman who isn't Katie and Katie's not really cool with that.
I can't help but feel this isn't hardcore enough. If I was native american, I'd be shoving stakes tied to a pole through my chest and tearing them out by leaning backwards. We Wiccans are a bunch of pussies.

Katie's the woman I've been dating since November. The timeline has gotten terribly linear.
As far as the sun dance goes, I'd do it if you did it. That's a story you can tell your grandkids.

Just have to find the right sun dance to let me participate... might have to rig up a big ol stainless steel pole in someone's yard.
