So far it's very good. Nice and serious, no jokes, good story, good animation, no absurd fight scenes and people changing into rabbits or weird cartoony angry faced blobs when they get mad or whatever, everything I could ask for. I have no idea how it can last 76 episodes, but Hank warned me about that.

One thing I have learned is that German convenience stores have changes of clothes you can buy, in case you just jumped in a river running from the police. That and there are sausages with every meal.

And if you have to make the choice between saving the life of a boy and a mayor, you pick the mayor, in case the boy turns out to be a crazy serial killer.

Both seem like important life lessons, not sure which is more important. We'll see how the series goes.

I can't call this show The Wire of anime because unlike The Wire, there are some wasted scenes and even an entire episode I could do without (18). Episode 19 is absolutely fantastic. That doll is frightening. However, the police must be pretty bad if they either ignored the fact that the basement was so creepy and the letters...why wouldn't those have been mentioned to the psychologist considering their content...I don't get it.

But any show that makes me think I'm about to be killed (I'm watching in the dark at 2am) is probably a good show. Episode 19 definitely makes me feel that way.

No sign of the main character for about 6 or 7 episodes...I am not a fan of that at all.

I actually found that to be a refreshing change of pace, re: no Tenma for a few episodes.

As or Episode 18, in retrospect, I guess it's kinda weak, but it shows an important point about killing people.

Episode 19 is simply amazing. Probably my favorite one of the show.

This is really, really dragging on far too long. This should be more like 40 episodes not 74.

They could cut this episode where we watch a drunk woman go shopping, for example.

I hate her more. Although I think the bodyguard is pretty awesome...go figure.

I think Eva's relationship with the bodyguard serves, in the end, to make her a more likeable character.

All I'm saying is, did you see how she dropped Tenma's ring on the ground? In the rain?

It was really uncalled for.

And then immediately whored it up with some scrub doctor who isn't fit to stitch closed Tenma's incisions? Yes, I saw that.

I don't think she is more likable because of that...she was a bitch to him, as he pointed out at the start. Just because a good/interesting/badass guy puts up with her crap, doesn't make it any less crap.
