Several things:
First, two of the people at our table were pathetic whiners. Every dish that came out they had to have the waitress go ask if there was cheese in it, I'm assuming so the girl didn't die. But she ate the ice cream, so who knows what her problem with cheese is if it's not the dairy. The entree had 5 thin slices of small potatoes next to it (think half-dollars), and the guy asked for ketchup. Are you kidding me? Finally, at the end, they served coffee and the girl had the creamer when it was almost gone and hadn't reached our end yet. So I asked her to pass it, and before she did, she hurriedly poured even more in to her already snow-white cup of coffee leaving so little that I didn't even get any after Liza had hers. I hate both of those people.
Second, the guy across from us looked EXACTLY like Lenny Briscoe's partner, Rey Curtis, from Law and Order. If I find a picture of him I'll post it but it will look like this:
Third, they only played hip-hop nonsense for the last two hours, the entirety of the post-dinner dance session. Fuck that. |

You can't dance at a formal ball to that crap. And everyone there was white. Everyone. |

It's absolutely true, though. |

I can't imagine going to any type of dance that didn't play majority hip hop & R&B to be 100% honest. |

I don't care if a majority of it is that. But there should have been half an hour of slow songs at some point. There were none post-dinner. Zero. It's a formal Ball, not a club dance party, not Steer Roast. |

Lack of slow songs is definitely a problem. |

That surprised me too. I kept expecting them to stop the hip hop nonsense and play slow songs for the rest of the night, but no luck. What's our generation coming to? |
