I've said this before: House has about 3 minutes of good content an episode, which consists of the main character being rude to other people. The rest of the episode is crap. |

In terms of medical dramas, I think it's better than ER was post-Clooney. So I guess second best.
Unless you count M*A*S*H. |

I've never seen M*A*S*H, but House is not nearly as good as ER.

I said ER post-Clooney. That is not the same thing as ER.
You haven't seen season 16. |

That doesn't mean you shouldn't watch it. It just means it's not a valid answer for the question: "What's your favorite show?" |

Ok, that was such a cop out. The whole theme is that no one saw (or could have seen?) his suicide coming because there were no obvious signs and no discernible reasons. But that works out quite conveniently since (I assume) it was written in without any time for prior plot/character development. This episode could have aired at any point. And wouldn't have been more or less appropriate character-wise. Although, I guess it's as good a way as any... maybe it would have seemed forced in a more annoying way if they had said 'oh.. in that episode a while back, it turns out that someone killed all his puppies and he just couldn't go on living.'
Eh. Also, I do not approve of this interactive tie-in thing:
Blech. |

Yeah, I don't understand having memorials for fictional characters. People know he's not really dead right? |

Well sometimes they really are, like our good friend Leo McGarry in The West Wing. |

Yeah, but they're making it seem like the actor died, whereas he hasn't. Also, why is he dead? Shouldn't they have made him go to Africa or something for several years until he's done with Obama and can come back? |

I don't get it either. What if he has to withdraw his nomination like every other Obama appointee? Then he's screwed for at least a few months in terms of income.
I didn't see or care about the tie-in stuff. Obviously that's right up Emily's alley but I think most people aren't going to go to any website or anything. The show isn't Lost where people go nuts quite that way. |
