Also... this is just about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Don't get me wrong, I understand relations between the US and Russia and I'm not gonna say this totally shocks me. However...

I disagree. I think they should go back and time and not build the thing in the first place. Fuck them for wasting that money on nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I have to disagree, here. I agree insofar as I understand the potential economic benefits, but there is something to be said for sheer greatness. I'd pay to help put man (obviously, Americans) on Mars. It's an accomplishment that matters just because it makes us great, as opposed to any cost-benefit analysis.
As for the ISS... all we can really hope for is that, when there's actually a good reason to build a space station, people will have had $100,000,000,000 worth of experience. _________________ When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.
