Hmm... I'm firmly behind this idea.
I also have a big literature review due the next day... but if I don't have it finished by election night I'm totally fucked anyways so it's all good.
Remind me... do the lecture halls (the building 2 one we always use) get TV? I don't remember (though I thought yes?), but we could party there if they do. Just sayin'

So, does anyone plan to show up for that super smash Xavid proposed for Sunday? That'd be a good time to test the cable hookup in the lecture hall.
I'll either do some searching or ask my mom (she's very political) about times... the important thing will be to not start watching so early that the rate of states being called is too low.
I'll post here again before the day is out with some thoughts on that one.

I don't want to start too late, though. I guess we should determine how long we're going to do it then position that time appropriately.
I don't know about the Smash. My current thinking is that I won't be there, but it depends on what happens Sunday. |

So I talked to someone and they indicated that the networks won't call states for president before the polls close in the west (11pm). And even if it's a landslide, Obama wouldn't speak until midnight or later. But likely Senate races and some stuff will start at 8pm when the polls close in the east.
Also, are we drinking during this? |

Not gonna lie to you... the drinking doesn't do much of anything for me, which is not to say I'm stopping anyone else from doing it.
Here's the question: is a drunken Eli going to add or subtract from the whole experience. Ponder this question, and you shall have your answer.
