I honestly don't think she could find Russia on a map. Like those girls in high school who (I am not even remotely kidding) could not find China on giant wall map of the earth which had giant text labels on all the countries, even though they spent well over 60 seconds looking.

Especially since, apparently, she has an unofficial history of pulling that kind of shit throughout her career.
As CNN pointed out, however, the party base (of either major party) is generally willing to believe lies told to them by their party in the face of fairly overwhelming evidence suggesting that the lie is, in fact, a lie.
In short: her criminal misconduct is going to be a boon to the Republican campaign... just like her incompetence and pregnant unwed teen daughter.
