The good news about a grad level class is the girls don't wear ridiculous outfits and speak in an insipid patois.
The bad news is the boys have traded their foppish demeanor for unwarranted arrogance.
So this first arrogant cock asks the professor to clarify the range of temperature that microorganisms can live in. She had written "below freezing-121 degrees C." This wasn't really very important to the discussion (the point was "microorganisms can live in extreme environments"), but I'll say it wasn't a totally invalid question, but the tone and style of the guy's manner of questioning suggested that he thought she didn't know, that she should know, and that he was brilliant for showing that she didn't know.
She, in fact, did not know the exact limit, but said that some of the organisms she works with in the lab are cooled to temperatures of -80 degrees C.
She turned around and proceeded with the lecture but THEN a second (more) arrogant cock shouted out that extremophiles can withstand temperatures of -70 degrees Celcius, a fact he had just looked up on Wikipedia. The professor told him that must be the lowest temperature at which those organisms can grow. Initially he agreed, but then contested her and said that wikipedia said that it was the survival extreme.
Eventually the professor laughed it off as the new generation of teaching, where you have instant feedback from your students, and then told him to find out more details about the incorrect fact he had just related, at which point he got flustered and relented.
What.
Arrogant.
Asshat.
Cocks.
Fuck those people. I hope they drop out of the class and eventually drop out of grad school. |

| It's actually far more hilarious if they grind away a dozen years of grad school, gradually becoming more depressed and bitter, until they finally graduate as empty husks. Then fail to get tenure and realize they're 35, have never made more than 30k in a year, and have no idea what the point of their life is was or ever will be. |
