A college guy and girl were play what can only be described as "strip chess" in the opening of this episode. I don't think chess is the right game for something like that. |

Oh, I think that it is. |
It seemed like each time you put the opponent in 'check' they had to take something off. That really alters your strategy if your goal is to get their clothes off rather than win the game. Whereas with strip poker both goals align. |

There are other ways to map game states (or changes in game states) to the removal of clothes. I agree that, for chess, any such addition (that is at all reasonable) will alter the strategy of the game, but I don't know that this is such a problem. All it means is that strip chess isn't the same game as chess, but so what? _________________ When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.

I guess? It just seems like a really weird game to do it with. Checks lead to more checks if that's your goal, there's no back and forth like there would be with poker, etc. |

I just think their version is poor for purposes of stripping. It just results in one naked person and one clothed person, and will almost always be completely one-sided and the removal will be weirdly distributed throughout the game, such that there's a one-sided flurry towards the end. Also it in no way ensures that someone even removes very much clothing unless check-mate is it all. There's no way to know since they discovered a dead body before the guy had to take his boxers off/lose. |

A guy losing to a girl... in chess?
That seems implausible.

But he wasn't necessarily losing, he was just getting repeatedly checked. That's my point. |

But they weren't playing chess, they were playing some variant of strip chess; two similar, but different, games. He was (I assume he was in the lesser position regarding articles of clothing) losing the game of strip chess; that is, the game that they were playing. _________________ When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.

Then I'm saying that strip chess is one of the worst strip anythings I've seen portrayed on screen. |

Ed Green, officer involved shooting...and he's gone. Sigh. Now it's a bunch of scrubs on the cast. |

I think Roman Grant just got arrested for kidnapping and polygamy. But not only were the charges dismissed but Jack McCoy returned his runaway sixth wife to his compound. And Jack also said that maybe men are supposed to have multiple women. |
