So, I've written a game. Actually, it's not really a game yet, but more of a framework still under development. Regardless, I was wondering if those of you who have Windows machines might be willing to indulge me and answer a question about it:
How are the controls? Can you move and fire the ship effectively? Or do the constants of drag and acceleration make it too difficult to do? If you feel comfortable playing around with the data files (baseships.xml and baserules.xml; both are in plain-text and easy to edit), I'd be interested in any suggestions about better ones.
It's a Newtonian simulation, so you coast a bit even when not thrusting. Bear in mind that it's not a (movement) twitch game, so getting around is supposed to take a bit of time.
You control the big ship in the upper left corner.

I'm assuming I should be doubleclicking on the exe. All I'm getting is "The application failed to initialize properly (0xxc0150002). Click OK to terminate the application."
