| If someone says you can't cite Wikipedia, let them know that a Harvard professor included a Wikipedia citation in a (soon to be) published paper. |

This is so true.
Also, the nature of the paper is possibly relevant. If the paper is about wikipedia, a wikipedia citation might be uncontrovertibly appropriate.
Seriously though, it's all about Harvard grade inflation.

I agree with you, but it will take the average semi-Luddite technophobe on the street approximately 12 parsecs to figure out that wikipedia is, at the very least, a moderately respectable source.

But you're never supposed to cite encyclopedias. At least that's the explanation that I've heard. (I guess citing the internet masses isn't the primary problem Heh.)
Hi. I'm ok. Not much happening over here. At the risk of excessive embarrassment: that thing for my advisor is still going on. Heh. In other news, I will probably be attempting to make my way to Boulder in a week or two. (Once that advisor thing is definitely done.) I'm also on Season 5 of The West Wing. Apparently they didn't kill Zoe. So how's everything with you? |
