So, I'm finishing Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader today. It turns out that today is the release date of the book Death Star, which just so happens to be the very next book chronologically after Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader. I feel like that is an incredibly eerie coincidence...
So I'm reading this Death Star book. There's a scene in which the construction workers and one of the many architects are discussing the usefulness of having an auxiliary exhaust port directly below a main exhaust port. Apparently they wanted to not build it...

What a bunch of noobs, it's obviously very important.
I've experienced some kind of crazy culture-shock.
I've read 20 Star Wars novels, all of them written in the last few years, because they're prequel novels.
Now, I'm on this beast:
It was written 25 years ago. The difference between what I've been reading and this beast is staggering. There's Mindharps and baby starships that start as droids and grow into universe-exploring sentient beings...and freaking Lando Calrissian owning bitches.
I remember that book. That book was serious quality. Vuffi Ra?

There's a heavy 70's/early 80's sci-fi feel to those books. Classic. _________________ When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.

I've seen it, and it was everything I could have hoped for in a movie. _________________ When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.

Apparently upscale bars, while still not allowing droids in the main room, have a small room for the droids to watch videos. I don't see why a droid would watch a video...but apparently they do at rich peoples' bars.
