"Iran's election can be considered a new model of popular vote."
Uh, people have been rigging elections for years now, nothing new about that at all.
What a goddamn monster. |

Of course, that election was stolen.
They need some revolution up in that bitch. _________________ When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.

Unfortunately they're getting some kind of terrible, awful ridiculous Twitter/Facebook/online revolution which is meaningless in every sense of the word.
Molotov cocktails and taking it to the streets is what they need. Whining on a message board only gets you far in WoW, not in Iran. |

In all fairness, they are out there protesting in the streets.
It's true though, a 'facebook revolution' is a silly and stupid in Iran as it is in America... perhaps more so given that the Iranian government limits internet access when it is convenient.

It really, really isn't. Maybe they should stop messing around and get in the game.
They need to protest so they can have an extremely oppressive and religious government rather than a super extremely oppressive and religious government. |

Hey, baby steps.
Our government has been accused of being oppressive and religious before. Maybe after a few more revolutions they can get there. _________________ ' What I'm thinking in my head is, 'Well, the truth is, Brian, we can't solve global warming because I f---ing changed light bulbs in my house. Luckily, our government rules over a population pacified by the concept of 'Rule of Law."
We don't even remember how to have a revolution in this country... or why to have one. _________________ When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.

I really don't know. It's not like this Moussavi guy is any better for us than Ahmadinejad, so what do we care? It's not like the President of Iran has a whole lot of power over things that concern us, like the military and nuclear junk (see the Supreme Leader). And, in all likelihood, Ahmadinejad did win, according to everything I read leading up to the election.
Look, these people freaking love their religious dictatorship. This revolution thing is never happening. |

I care about Iran.
While it is possible that Ahmadinejad won, he certainly did not win with the results that the Interior Ministry released.
It'd be funny if it weren't happening right now. |
