Look, the Sox hadn't won in 86 years, and they were the only team in a real sport (read: not the NHL) to come back from being down 3-0 in a series. Not only that but they were down by 1 run with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th inning against the (arguably) greatest closing pitcher ever, and they won that game, which is in itself a miracle. They had a lot to celebrate.
The Manchester United people won the fucking UEFA Champions League (the aforementioned most important yearly championship in the sport) LAST YEAR. They have not lost in their last 25 games in the tournament (which includes round robin play in the early stages, so losing isn't SO bad there, but these guys didn't even do that). They have the best player in the world. THEY WON LAST YEAR. Why are they freaking out?
